Pain free for the first time in almost a year!- Nerve Decompression Therapy

I was out hunting this morning and i had this weird sensation in my body but I couldn't quit figure it out. So i stood up and moved around a little bit and it finally hit me.... I am COMPLETELY pain free for the first time in at least 9 months. I just called my parents and told them and i actually started crying on the phone because I had forgotten what this even feels like. Severe Immune Response with no answers- Nerve Decompression Therapy

I just wanted to Thank you for helping my husband and i. Not only is my husband free of hives and swelling, I am free of stress! Five years ago we were ate a loss, we had seen every doctor, specialist, and natural doctor and had done every diet possible. my husband was covered in hives, swelling and itching almost every day. he was at one point taking 6-7 antihistamines a day, very little relief. At one point he almost lost his life due to his face and throat swelling. With no answers other than crazy prescription medications that had severe side effects we had no idea how we were going to live a normal life. I thank God for a friend of mine, Gabe Valdez. It has been almost 2 years and i am so thankful and blessed to say, We have our lives back! my husband has been nearly medication free for almost 2 years now! ​I started seeing Gabe Valdez late September about tennis elbow pain that to me was debilitating. After physical therapy and cortisone shots, I had almost no relief. My elbow hurt so bad I could not grip things with my right hand, pick up any weights, or put my arm up over my head without serious pain. Little did I know that his work on my nerves could have such a profound affect on healing my scoliosis, which I have had my entire life.
When I say his work on my nerves, I'm not talking about acupuncture or invasive and painful treatment. Through some very minor adjustments and his finger tips barely touching the areas that needed readjustment, my body has begun to heal itself and work the way that God intended it to. It is still "unwinding " as Gabe describes it quite accurately.
The picture on the left was the day of my first visit. The top picture is 10 days later and the bottom picture is from late November. Had I not taken pictures, nobody would believe the healing that my body has undergone and continues to. It's a process and I feel my body working to do what it was built to do, heal and take care of itself. Without the help from someone who I feel God has given an amazing gift, I would still be dealing with the back pain that I never even complained about because it was my "norm". As far as my elbow, well that was feeling better in a matter of hours and I am happy to say feels amazing now! Thank you Gabe and Elizabeth Valdez from the bottom of my heart!!!

I used to live with severe pain and was sick all the time. I couldn't even get up off of the floor. In 2012 I was seriously thinking about quitting my job. I didn't think I was going to make it to my 60th birthday. In August, 2012 my chiropractor sent me to go see Gabe. She couldn't help me anymore and told me my problems were nutritional and related to balancing my body. Reluctantly I went to see Gabe and it was the best decision I ever made. In 2013, I started working with he and Elizabeth both, and my life has made a complete turn around. I am pain free, no longer addicted to sugar, I eat well, and exercise with 20 and 30 year olds! I have also been able to get off my blood pressure medications because my blood pressure is perfect now. I feel better than ever!

Nearly a year and a half ago, I topped off at a weight of 209 lbs. I was a size 15/16. my cholesterol was nearly 300 points. I was on a lot of different medications over a short span (paroxetine, lexapro, Xanax, etc) for an anxiety disorder, panic attacks and depression. my 10 year relationship and marriage to my ex-husband ended with him ultimately leaving me. I know I was not the greatest person to love because I didn’t love myself first and it was hard on him. I will always love that man fiercely, for being my best friend for 10 years. Being unhealthy, I often used material things (coach purses, electronics, spending money, etc) to make me feel better about myself. I had to have a cholecystectomy to remove my gallbladder because of gallstones and that in itself, brought on more health issues. I couldn’t digest foods properly, I was always getting food poisoned and was frequently in the hospital. to say the least, I was a hot mess. on my own, I lost nearly 18 lbs through walking/running and eating health(ier) and not eating fast food. it wasn’t until a year ago that I met my Elizabeth, a personal trainer at Defined, that the momentum of my new healthy life really took off. Elizabeth really changed my life. the things I never learned from my family (healthy eating, portion sizes, how to prepare foods, how to read food labels, taking vitamins, etc) are just the basics of what she taught me. She basically helped me build a strong foundation for my life, by teaching me things about nutrition, health and wellness, that unfortunately, my family never taught me. on top of working out with her twice a week, Elizabeth gave me “homework” of workouts to do on my own, she built my confidence both within and outside of the gym and gave me a food guide to understand my food sensitivities. Elizabeth always took the time to text me on my off days to check in with me and she held me accountable when I fell off track. when my entire life felt like it broke into pieces… my personal training, running, the gym and eating healthy is what kept me grounded… its what kept me going forward. A lot of people don’t know this but I have ADD. It’s hard for me to stay focused on one thing at a time… my mind is always going and I lose interest in things easily if I am not challenged. My ADD is my greatest strength and one of my greatest weaknesses. I wanted to share this photo… because I had given my sister all of my “fat” clothes when I got smaller. I went and picked up some of the clothes I had given her to keep as a testimonial and they are nearly double my size. I wear a size 6 right now. I am hoping to get to a size 4. I'm a little over 20% body fat; I want to get to 18%. I want some fierce abs and booty (lol). What I learned the past year and a half is that prioritizing myself first in my life, is NEVER selfish. The choices that I make in my life, are MINE to make because only I know what is best for me. I also learned that I am in charge of my happiness. I am fierce.  Before working with Elizabeth I was 70lbs overweight and had
been diagnosed  with early signs of hypertension (both due to an unhealthy diet and lack of excercise)  Because of my poor health it was difficult to do any kind of excercise, or even walk up a flight of stairs without becoming winded and tired very quickly.  It was even uncomfortable to stand for long periods of time, as I would experience a lot of knee and ankle pain.  After becoming
unhappy with my physical appearance/health, and my inability to enjoy any kind of physical ativity, I decided it was time for a change.  Although I had experienced dissapointing weight loss efforts in the past, my only options were to face serious health problems in the near future, or to take responsibility for my physical and mental well being.  
Since adopting a healthy diet and disciplined workout routine, I have lost nearly 70 pounds and my body fat percentage is at a healthy level.  I am now able to enjoy excercising and it has become an irreplaceable part of my daily routine.  All of my prior health problems are gone and I feel great, as my energy and self confidence are better than they have ever been.  Workingng with Elizabeth has given me a renewed positive outlook on life, and I truly feel like a new person inside and out.
 I plan to remain committed to a healthy diet and excercise plan.  After experiencing the results of dedication
and hard work I will continue to challenge myself by gaining more muscle and improving my fitness even further.  I made a promise to myself never to return to past habits that were  unhealthy and destructive, and with Elizabeth’s
guidance and support (as both a trainer and a friend) I now have the passion and dedication to nutrition and training in order to remain committed to continually maintaining and improving my physical health and fitness.

In October 2011, I was involved in a rear end collision. I incurred neck, back, leg and arm injuries. I spent months going to chiropractic appointments, having massages and seeing a physical therapist with no signifigant change in my condition. When I met Gabe, I spoke with him of my condition. he was confident he could help me so I began seeing Gaabe twice a week. Gabe has done what no one else has been able to accomplish. I no longer have pain in my left arm, neck and back and my left knee is no longer in constant pain. After working with me, Gabe discovered my C1 was misaligned and reccomended I see an Atlas Orthogonal Chripractor. After months of pain, I am finally able to resume normal activities. I believe with out Gabe's expertise, I would not be back to normal. I always considered myself as a person who ate right and did some exercise. But, only if I knew then what I know now.  

Prior to working with Elizabeth I constantly suffered from allergy problems; that included repeated sinus, ear, and bronchial infections that lead to allergy induced asthma. The infections left me fatigued and constantly sick.  I took four different allergy medications daily to manage the problems which provided some relief but nothing helped 100%.  The medications increased with the bronchial infections or at the onset of asthma.  I was seriously worried about the amount of medication I was taking and the long term affects.  Over the last eight years, I spent a great deal of money on medications, herbs, and homeopathic remedies. I routinely visited allergists, acupuncturist, Chinese Medicine Doctors, and chiropractors who specialized in treating allergies and none of these methods worked. None of the doctors I visited asked about my diet or explained how certain foods affect the body which is vital information for good health.  Elizabeth has taught me the importance of eating the right combination of foods, how certain foods contain properties that cause inflammation and how the body responds to inflammation.  She’s taught me to eat season specific foods and what not to eat during the change of a season. She has and continues to share knowledge of how food can heal and make me sick.  

Elizabeth is a Certified Health Coach who takes the time to ask the pertinent questions and explains how the body functions and the affects that food has on organs. This helped me understand how my body responds to certain foods that causes mucus or extremely painful menstrual cycles.  She can explain every scientific detail (which blows my mind) of how the body processes the nutrients and how it affects organs and the gut. 

Thanks to Elizabeth, I no longer take allergy medications. Elizabeth has taught me to eat clean and my overall health has improved greatly.  I feel 100% better.  At 45, I’m healthier and stronger. I really wish I’d met her years ago. 
She truly has changed my life!  She has an endless knowledge of how to treat and ward off sickness which I’ve found to be priceless. She’s truly a beautiful, loving, and inspiring person who always has my best interest at heart.  I can
call or email at any time with a question about my diet or health and she’s always there.  You just can’t put a price on having someone like that looking out for your good health.

Great!  My cholesterol went from 202 to 151 and it’s never been less than 202.  I’ve lost 15 pounds and I’m leaner. 
People always thought that I was pregnant and my husband is happy that I no longer look pregnant.  That’s a major accomplishment!  I feel so much better with a leaner waist.  I’m not there yet because I still love my tea and scones.
So, I’m still working on getting a flat stomach but I’m proud of how I look in my clothes and I owe that to Elizabeth for arming me with the knowledge to finally get healthier.

Wow I can't believe I have only been working with Elizabeth and Gabe for just shy of 2 years, because my life and my health have taken a 180. I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism, lupus and Fibromyalgia. After having a stroke while pregnant at the age of 25 and 4 months after my daughter was born I weighed 235 pounds!! I was sick, depressed, obese and at risk for another stroke. I knew
something had to change, so I began my journey and by the Grace of God met Elizabeth about a year later and shortly after met Gabe. They have honestly saved me and helped me get control of many aspects of my life. They have blessed me in so many ways that I can't even list nor could ever repay! From the very beginning of my journey, I went from 235 lbs and now I'm150lbs.  I was at a plateau with my weight loss and health, but with the proper nutrition I was able to break that barrier. The beginning of January I was 174 lbs and now in April I am 150lbs!!! My body fat was at 34% and now is at 20.4%!!!!  Their approach is to heal you from the inside out. They focus on health and getting to the root of your illnesses and letting the body heal itself with the help of proper nutrition and supplements.  Thanks to them, God and my desire to survive for myself and my daughter; I am healthy and happy....haven't felt this good or good about myself ever in my entire life. My main concerns were chronic back pains and the inability to work out because of the back pain, hot flashes, lack of energy, and other menopause related symptoms.
 Currently, I am pain free - thanks to Gabe's recommendation to see an Atlas Orthogonal chiropractor. I can work out again without pain. And, thanks to Elizabeth's diet, my hot flashes have diminished 95% and I'm able to sleep better and have far more energy! The other menopause related symptoms have drastically subsided.
My biggest accomplishment, so far, has been the 10 pound weight loss! I'm able to wear my old clothes again - it's like having a new wardrobe!
